Diagnostic Screen for Sleep Apnea

Western Research Company, Inc.
  • Technology Description

Our technology is a software product that interfaces with pulse oximetry systems to report a respiratory rate in addition to the pulse rate and oxygen saturation. This technology is being designed to be useful for monitoring in an unattended fashion with our first expected market being patient monitoring in hospital, emergency room and procedure rooms. Automatic measurement of respiratory rate is expected to be utilized at all patient encounter settings where automatic vital sign monitoring is now currently being employed. A technically more advanced follow on use for the technology will be in the unattended home screening for sleep apnea market which we believe will take longer to introduce.
